Introducing Virtual Services!

Our team at Spectrum Creative Arts puts the health and safety of our students at our highest priority. In light of the COVID-19 outbreak and recommendations for increased social distance, our team at Spectrum has been exploring a variety of options to ensure that our students and families can still have access to their regular creative arts programming. Luckily, we live in an era where current technology gives us some great options for staying connected, even when at a distance!

With virtual sessions, students and Spectrum team members would meet together through online video-conferencing via the platform of their choice. (We recommend Zoom, but there are lots of great options out there). In these sessions, the provider would modify many of the same experiences they might do in-person to best fit this new format.

How to get started

For current Spectrum students

Your assigned provider will be reaching out to you directly by the end of this week to walk you through all of the necessary steps to get virtual sessions up and running. Since this is a brand new service we are offering, we will need to gather some information from you to get started. Your teacher will either collect this over the phone, or send you a direct link to fill out online.

For new students

We’re excited to welcome brand new students to this virtual delivery model! If you are a new student interested in getting set up for virtual music, art, dance, or theatre sessions for either the duration of our closure or beyond, we’d love to explore this option with you!

To get started, simply fill out the “New Student Interest Form” by clicking on the button below. Once you submit that form, a member of our team will get back to you within 24 hours to talk through next steps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Spectrum will be utilizing a virtual video conference program, such as Zoom, to connect with our students remotely from home.

Students must have access to reliable internet and computer, tablet, or smart device/phone, and a quiet space in order to successfully engage in online services.

Once the Zoom program is downloaded on your device, you will be able to engage in a session via video call with your instructor in real time.   Make sure to check out our instructional video of Zoom in action.

The need for a present caregiver or parent depends on the student’s level of independence. If the student is unable to connect to Zoom services on their own, support is recommended.

Ideally, students who are taking adapted lessons should already have access their assigned instrument at home, but ultimately this would be a case by case basis.

Each instructor will work with each individual student/caregiver to set up a session time that works with their availability.

Billing for virtual services will be the same as traditional in-person services.  Pricing for virtual services will also remain the same.
At this time, all group classes are temporarily on hold.  We will be exploring options to bring them back as we get virtual services up and running.
