We are so excited to introduce the two newest members of our Spectrum Creative Arts community: Amélie Dejean-Subirats and Emily Wilson. Over the coming months, they’ll be bringing their passion, creativity, and fresh perspectives into our music therapy programs as they continue their training. We can’t wait for you to get to know them, and we know they’ll be a wonderful addition to our team and to the clients and families we serve.
Read on to learn more about Amélie and Emily in their own words!

Amélie Dejean-Subirats
Amélie Dejean-Subirats is a vocalist and recent graduate from Berklee College of Music, majoring in Music Therapy with minors in Music Education and Teaching Contemporary Voice. They have recently joined the Spectrum Creative Arts team as a music therapy intern, where they have been enjoying working with individuals of all ages and abilities.
Previously, they have had opportunities to work in various music therapy and wellness settings such as hospice, memory care facilities, peer recovery programs, adapted music lessons, student wellness support, and much more. Through these experiences, they developed their passion for providing accessible and supportive creative and performing arts spaces. They strongly believe that increasing access to arts for all has an immensely positive impact on the health and wellness of a community at large.
In their free time you can find them working on crochet and printmaking projects, playing tabletop RPGs and board games, watching silly sitcoms, and exploring parks, museums, and everything Rochester has to offer. They are always looking for new skills to learn and music to listen to – feel free to share any of your favorites!
Emily Wilson
I am a recent graduate of Shenandoah University in Virginia, where I majored in Music Therapy and minored in Psychology. I am joining Spectrum Creative Arts for the 2025-2026 school year as a music therapy intern.
I have had the pleasure of working in various music therapy settings, including special education classrooms, hospice and memory care facilities, private practices, and a hand chime choir for disabled adults. Something that I really value in my practice is giving individuals the space to access music in the way that they find meaningful, rather than making music the “right way.”
Outside of music, I love reading, exploring, and playing with my cat, Gunther! I am open to book, trail, and cat treat recommendations!
