Although we’ve been apart these past few months, our Spectrum community has continued to use the creative arts as a way to stay connected. We have been so impressed with the resilience and creativity we’ve seen in our students with this transition, and thought this was a perfect time to renew our popular “Student Spotlight” series! Each week, we’ll be highlighting a Spectrum Creative Arts student and sharing a snippet of their current work. Who inspired you to learn the ukulele?
Grace VanderWaal from America’s Got Talent
Who is your biggest musical inspiration?
I really like Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez
Favorite song to sing?
I like any Disney Princess song
What is the best part about performing?
It makes me happy!
What do you like most about Spectrum Creative Arts?
I like learning new songs with Chelsea. I also like the new Zoom dance class Ignite.
Any other final thoughts you would like to share with others about your experience at Spectrum?
We as her parents really appreciate the quality programming and staff at Spectrum
