When you begin an art project, what inspires you?

“What inspired me is my surroundings. People, nature, objects, all sorts of things around me. When I see them, I start to convert them in my head to be creative and make them my own, with the existing basic ideas of my creation still there.”

What is your process when creating artwork?

“The work and process when it comes to animation and video, pretty much stays the same. Sometimes, it might be different depending on time constraints, my drive towards the project, and what I am able to work with. But for the most part, I do have a similar method I try to follow with all of my artwork.”

What inspired you as far as music/playing musical instruments?

“I’ve always enjoyed singing, and I wanted to eventually learn an instrument to be able to combine the two things. Piano is one of those instruments that you are able to do that in any style or genre.”

Are you intereted in other instruments?

“I am definitely interested in other instruments, and I have tried other instruments in the past. I know a little bit about guitar, and I’ve experimented with other instruments like slide whistle, ocarina, and harmonica. I would love to be able to learn more about the theremin, it has this other worldly quality that when you hear it, it’s very whimsical and creates wonder for me that I find very fascinating.”

What do you like about Spectrum Creative Arts?

“Honestly, I like all the things I do at Spectrum. I think trying to single out one thing about it is difficult because I wouldn’t be doing it justice for all the other things I like to do at Spectrum.”

What do you think of the virtual session through Spectrum?

“I think they are going well and are beneficial. They allow students to keep some kind of normalcy during this time, letting the students to continue doing what they like to do and enjoy doing!”

What would you say to someone who was thinking about starting session at Spectrum?

“I would say it’s a great way to learn and enjoy doing things you like to do with other people. It’s always been a great experience for me in both my individual sessions and group classes.”
