Our consecutive weekly services (individual sessions and group classes) are billed monthly. Each month (on or around the 5th of the month), you will be invoiced for the previous month’s services at our current, fixed monthly rate. These rates are based on an average number of sessions per year, which take into account the number of days we are closed per year (for holidays), and an average number of missed sessions for instructor time off.

Make-up Policy (Individual Sessions)
To qualify for a make-up session, you must call, e-mail, or cancel your session via the Student Portal, at least 24 hours prior to missing your session. Make-up sessions must be used within one year (12 months) of receiving the make-up credit, and there is a limit of 12 make-ups credits, per student, at any time. Make-up credits can only be used while currently enrolled and missed make-up sessions cannot be made up. If a make-up session cannot be scheduled with your regular instructor, you may have the option of scheduling with another instructor or using your make-up credit on additional programming opportunities that Spectrum may offer throughout the year. Cancellation of your enrollment will lead to forfeiture of all unused make-up credits not used prior to cancellation. Pending scheduling and instructor availability, make-up sessions may be used to extend sessions. Make-up sessions with specific instructors cannot be guaranteed. Make-up credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or refunded.
Instructor absences for scheduled time off are already reflected in the monthly model pricing. Instructors are not required to make up sessions that they miss with more than 24 hours notice, but may offer a makeup option at their discretion, based on their availability.
Make-up Policy (Group Classes)
Due to the nature of Group Class schedules, make-up sessions cannot be offered for missed classes. The monthly pricing of Group Classes already reflects the fact that both students and instructors will likely miss a number of classes each year due to vacations, sickness, inclement weather, etc. We make every attempt to run our Group Classes consistently and will only cancel a class when absolutely necessary.
Enrollment Policy
Spectrum collects a non-refundable registration fee of $25 per student, per enrollment.
Once you are enrolled in weekly individual sessions or group classes, we will reserve that time slot with your specific instructor, and you will continue to be invoiced for those sessions until you cancel your enrollment by filling out a Withdrawal Form. If you withdraw from your individual sessions or group classes, we cannot guarantee that the weekly day/time/instructor/class slot will remain available.
Students who elect to enroll in individual sessions in the middle of the month will receive make-up credits for the number of weeks missed in that month prior to starting their sessions.
Students who withdraw, cancel, or lapse their registration in the middle of the month are not eligible for any refunds, credits, or transfers.
If a student misses their scheduled sessions for 3 consecutive weeks without any communication as to the reason for the absence, Spectrum Creative Arts reserves the right to permanently cancel that student’s enrollment after the 3rd absence (make-ups will be forfeited).
Your enrollment will immediately lapse and be discontinued (make-ups will be forfeited) if your account balance remains unpaid and past due for more than 60 days.
Frequently Asked Questions
In the event that Spectrum has to cancel sessions and classes for the entire facility, a make-up credit will be issued for your missed sessions. (Group class pricing already takes into account that a certain number of sessions will be missed each year for various reasons.) If Spectrum remains open, but an individual is not able to make it to their individual session, the standard 24-hour notice requirement remains in place in order to receive a make-up credit.
At Spectrum, we believe that students realize the greatest benefits from their sessions when they attend consistently, year-round. In addition, each instructor holds specific days and times for your sessions in their busy schedule, and those are not easy to repurpose, especially when it’s only for a few weeks. Therefore, we recommend that you remain enrolled, even if you do miss a few sessions. As long as you give us more than 24-hours’ notice, we’ll issue you a make-up credit for the sessions you miss, and you can work with your instructor to find a suitable time to use those sessions when you return. Even if you can’t find a make-up time that works for both you and your instructor, we offer multiple opportunities with additional programming throughout the year where you can use those extra make-up credits.
If circumstances do require you to cancel or withdraw your enrollment, you will lose any remaining make-up credits in your account and we can’t guarantee that the same day/time/instructor slot would be available if you decide to re-enroll in the future. Finally, if you did decide to re-enroll at some point in the future, you would need to pay the non-refundable Registration Fee (of $25) to resume your individual sessions or group class.
Due to the additional administrative overhead associated with registering for a new service (e.g. processing paperwork, meeting with the student and their family to identify a good “fit” for instructor, entering student data into various systems, etc.) we charge a one-time, non-refundable Registration Fee of $25 the first time you enroll in a Spectrum service (individual weekly session or group class).
If you decide to add additional weekly services or classes, we do not charge another Registration Fee unless you previously “dropped” that service or class within the past 12 months.
The Registration Fee will be automatically added to your first monthly invoice after you enroll in the new service/class.
