Interested in growing your creative interests with friends? Join us for a group class! All abilities welcome!

We offer two types of group classes:

Open Classes: These groups are offered on an ongoing basis and accept student registrations at any point during the year. Any student interested may participate, although certain classes may have specific age recommendations.

Closed Classes: These groups are closed to new registrants because they are at maximum capacity, or require specific referral criteria to join (example: a performance ensemble requiring an audition on a specific instrument).

We are always creating new classes based on the interests and support needs of our community. Don’t see a group that currently works for you? Complete the inquiry form and we’ll do our best to recommend programming that fits your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

We know not everyone has access to the same equipment! Most of these classes don’t require the participant to have access to materials from home. Should a class include a craft, or require any additional materials, the instructor will be in touch with all participants with a materials list and options for modifying should those items not be available.

All of these classes will involve music, and some sort of movement. Set up your computer/smart device in an area of your home where you can move freely and make some noise! It’s helpful if the instructor can see your face and at least the top half of your body when you are participating.
When meeting with a group, the instructor will most likely mute participants and then unmute individuals when it is their turn to participate. In the first session, the instructor will work with the group to identify how they can virtually “raise their hand” if they have something they would like to share. This helps cut down on the confusion of people talking over one another, which can be hard over a screen.
The instructor will most likely use a variety of visual cues in addition to his/her voice to help participants engage with the class content. If there is a specific type of support that would be helpful, let your instructor know!
Lastly, your instructor might send you some materials, audio parts, or visuals to support your success in the class. Those materials will go to the contact specific in your registration form. Should you want those items sent elsewhere, please let us know!
