Hello everyone!

I’m one of the Co-Founders and Directors here at Spectrum Creative Arts and also a board-certified music therapist!

Music has been a huge part of my life since early childhood. I started piano lessons at age 5 and continued all the way through college, where I got my bachelors degree in piano performance from Roberts Wesleyan College. I spent some time accompanying and studio teaching before deciding to pursue my master’s degree in music therapy from Nazareth College. Near the end of my degree, I had the privilege of completing my internship at the Hochstein School of Music and Dance, which is where I met both Noa Ferguson and Wade Richards, both current Spectrum Directors.

I love that this profession has given me the opportunity to practice in a diverse range of settings. Over the past decade, I’ve worked as a music therapist in a pediatric medical unit, outpatient mental health, and private practice. At Spectrum, our focus is primarily on providing an inclusive setting for exploring the creative arts. Creating a space that makes the arts accessible to all types of learners has always been a passion of mine, and I’m so proud of the community we have fostered here.

In addition to my role here at Spectrum, I also serve as the Associate Director for the undergraduate music therapy program at Roberts Wesleyan College. Returning to my alma mater as a faculty member has been such a wonderful experience, a I’ve loved being able to share my passion for the field with the next generation of music therapists.

When I’m not working, you can usually find me hanging with my family, working in the garden, or tackling my next home renovation project!

Fun fact – I love dogs, and have two giant Great Pyrenees rescues that look more like polar bears than dogs! While they usually just love being lazy at home, they have made some fun cameo appearances in some of my virtual sessions!
