DESCRIPTION:Guitar and string players welcome! Whether you are just beginning\, know a few chords\, or can solo on a melody\, this interactive class will have students come together as part of a virtual ensemble using string instruments. We will explore our music skills through popular music\, improvisation\, and songwriting all within the social setting of a guitar and string ensemble. \nParticipants must have access to a string instrument (guitar\, bass\, ukulele\, violin\, etc) at home and must be able to have the instrument tuned prior to each class.  It is recommended that they are able to turn their Zoom sound on and off throughout the class\, or have a helper to assist.  All levels are welcome\, including standard and adapted instrument tunings.

DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to welcome our students and families back to our first in-person student showcase since March 2020. \nWe’ll be hosting this event outdoors at Homesteads for Hope\, a community farm that offers agriculture and nature-based programming for adults with developmental disabilities. \nAttendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets to the event. \nIn an effort to accommodate all of our interested performers\, we have broken the showcase into two sections – the first from 5:00 – 6:00\, and the second from 6:00 – 7:00. There will be a brief break between each section. Students and audience members are welcome to stay for both sections\, or leave during the break.

SUMMARY:Summer Ensemble
DESCRIPTION:This new ensemble is focused on welcoming both new and returning performers back to in-person group rehearsals. Participating players will have the opportunity to work as a group to design a fully-inclusive performing ensemble\, working collaboratively to choose the name\, design the logo\, choose repertoire\, and rehearse with the goal of developing 1-2 pieces to be performed at the final summer class showcase. \nThis group is open to both instrumentalists and vocalists. Previous members of Crossroads and Chrome are encouraged to join! It is recommended that students also be enrolled in individual sessions to support rehearsal of ensemble material. \nNote: This group will be rehearsing in a space that will accommodate 6 ft. social distancing between players. In alignment with our updated safety guidelines\, vaccinated students may rehearse unmasked. Unvaccinated participants will be required to mask at all times.  \nRegister Now
