It’s become a bit of a tradition each time Spectrum’s birthday rolls around that we celebrate through song!

Whether we’re dancing to the beat of the original lyrics we penned to Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” or having our student’s share what Spectrum has meant to them, music has been the best way for us to celebrate how awesome it is to have another year doing what we absolutely love to do!

This year, we’re inviting members of the community to help us do a little songwriting! We’re working on an original song all about celebrating the things that make us unique. We’ve written an original chorus, and we’re inviting students, families, and community members to contribute ideas for the verses!

You can listen to what we’ve come up with so far in the video below:

How to participate:

  1. Grab a Community Lyric Project postcard from the the table in our lobby.
  2. Fill out the prompt on the back with your ideas.
  3. Place the card in the designated box.
  4. Stay tuned! The finished song will be posted on September 15th!
